Movie Review: Disaster LA: The Last Zombie Apocalypse Begins Here (2014)

Disaster LA, directed by Turner Clay, is about a group of friends who wake up after a party to find LA in chaos and sick people turning into zombies as meteors crash to earth. The movie follows the group as they fight to survive and flee the city.

Disaster LA has more issues than just an obnoxiously long name. The movie is just bad in so many ways. The dialogue was labored and sounded as if it was being read from queue cards. The acting was over the top and exaggerated. The only physical sign that people were zombies is that they were pale and had blood on their faces, which left the makeup seriously lacking. The special effects of the meteors were decent but that’s the only half way positive thing I can say about this movie.
