Movie Review : Revelation Trail (2014)

“In the late nineteenth-century, a holy man known only as the Preacher (Daniel Van Thomas) confronts unspeakable evil as a gruesome power consumes the frontier. Standing between ruin and salvation,he joins forces with the town Marshal (Daniel Britt), a man with his own set of demons, in a savage fight against the risen dead and the evils of the living. Along the way, the men discover which lines they’re willing to cross in the name of survival and witness the depths people reach through the power of belief — for good and ill alike.”

If you are looking for a zombie movie full of blood and gore this movie may not be for you, but if you are looking for story full of drama and actual depth this movie is a good choice. Revelation Trail goes beyond the mindless zombie movies that are so common today and delves into the characters reality and emotion.

The narration in this film is fantastic. The characters are relatable and feel authentic. Though this indie film had a micro budget and was shot in only twenty days, they did a great job with this film. I truly enjoyed Revelation road and I would highly recommend it.
