A group of female writers, actresses and directors are getting bloody in PSA’s to urge people to donate blood, nine women including the Soska sisters, are making short films with horror themes, to get their message out. You have to check out this campaign!

Hospitals are in desperate need of blood donations. On average there are 5,000,000 blood transfusions a year in the U.S. alone. Blood is a matter of life and death. In fact with out the donations made by some great people, my husband would not be here today. He was in a horrible accident and without the six blood transfusions he received, I would have lost him. Your donation can save a life! Be a hero and give blood, “after all, it’s in you to give”.
Donating blood is pretty simple. When you go to a blood drive they will put in an IV line and you kick back and relax until you’re done. Afterwards, they give you a cookie and who doesn’t want a cookie? Call your local red cross or go online and find out where you can donate. You can also visit http://unitedbloodservices.org to find a location near you.
