Madison (Michelle Mylett) has developed a severe case of hydrophobia (fear of water) after almost drowning. Madison’s fears soon manifest into terrible visions of an evil figure (Ry Barrett). Four of Madison’s friends (played by Caroline Palmer, Gemma Bird Matheson, Sydney Kondruss and Clare Bastable) have come together to try to find a way to help her, but the deeper they go into their investigation the more danger they face. During a seance, they have unleashed the figure that now seeks to drag them one by one into the darkness.
Chad Archibald (Neverlost), who directed and co-wrote ‘The Drownsman’ had this to say about the film:
” We set out to make a film that created a new supernatural villian like the classic horror films of Clive Barker and Wes Craven, something that has become rare in the horror industry over the last decade. Similar to Freddy Kruger, Michael Myers, Pinhead and Jason Vorhees, we wanted to create a villian with a rich history and a juicy hook that could make an appearances in a few viewer’s nightmares.”
‘The Drownsmen’, take us back to an era of classics like the original ‘Halloween’ and ‘Nightmare On Elm Street’. The stills from this slasher/supernatural horror look incredible. I am looking forward to seeing this film, it’s been a long time since a movie has scared me, let’s hope it lives up tp it’s promise.
‘The Drownsman’ will be released on May 12, 2015.
