Award winning director Patricia Chica has created a new dark but beautiful short film titled ‘Serpent’s Lullaby’, starring Jenimay Walker. The short film is making it’s rounds at film festivals now. ‘Serpent’s Lullaby’ recently took home the award for ‘Best Short Film’ from The Magnolia Film Festival in Mississippi. Chica’s short films ‘The Promise’ (2000) and ‘Day Before Yesterday’ (2010) also took home ‘Best Short Film’ from The Magnolia Film Festival.
‘Serpent’s Lullaby’ Follows a mother who has lost her child. The short film is well written and the cinematography is absolutely beautiful, it is unlike anything you have seen before.
Patricia Chica has won over thirty five awards in her career so far. She is a film and television director, producer and editor. Chica also participated in the 2015 ‘Women In Horror’ massive Blood Drive PSA, featuring short films by different directors, to help raise awareness for the need for blood donations.
