Samuel L. Jackson Joins The Cast Of ‘The Blob’ Remake

Samuel L. Jackson has signed on to the role of a Biochemistry Professor in the new remake of ‘The Blob’, which is being directed by Simon West. In the film Jackson’s character volunteers to find a way to stop The Blob, an organism from space that develops into a big jello type creature that consumes everything in its path. Samuel L. Jackson is known for his roles in movies such as ‘Django Unchained’, ‘Snakes on a Plane’, ‘Pulp Fiction’ and his continued role as Nick Furry in the ‘Avengers’ franchise. Jackson has had over 165 roles, to date.

The movie is a remake of the 1958 movie starring Steve McQueen.The original ‘The Blob’ was a big hit at theaters. The special effects in ‘The Blob’ were amazing in 1958 and are still impressive to this day. This will be the movie’s second remake, the first remake was released in 1988 and was directed by Chuck Russell.
