With Shark Week approaching and the 40th anniversary of ‘Jaws’, the news of shark related horror-thrillers are being announced. We have already reported that ‘Meg’ and ‘Sharknado 3’ are in the works. Now, we are here to tell you about another shark attack film that is being made, titled ‘In the Deep’. ‘In the Deep’ was written by Anthory Jaswinski and is being compared to a cross between ‘127 hours’ and ‘Jaws’. Jaume Collet-Serra is in talks to replace Louis Letterier as director. Serra, who directed the 2005 remake of ‘House of Wax’ and the creepy thriller ‘Orphan’ (2009), seems like a great director to take the helm ‘In the Deep’.
In the film, a young woman, while out surfing, gets stranded twenty yards from the isolated beach. A huge Great White stands between her and the safety of the shore.
The release date and the cast for ‘In the Deep’ has not been announced at this time.
