Monique Dupree

Monique Dupree is a Newark, New Jersey native who is referred to as ‘Tha Original Gata’ and is affectionately known by many horror fans to be the First Black Scream Queen. She is a jack of all trades in the entertainment industry. The model, actress, producer, director, costume designer, musician, publisher, and pro-wrestler (just to name a few of her accomplishments) has been working in horror since 2005 and shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon.

If you haven’t seen Monique Dupree’s work, you should. (Although you have certainly seen her brother – actor Tony Todd.) Fans of b-movies will appreciate her appearances in films such as Bachelor Party in the Bungalow of the Damned where she plays ‘Emerald – the demon boobie vampire’. (…Not kidding. That’s how it’s listed on IMDB.)

This talented woman has six films set for release in 2015, four of which are in the horror genre. Needless to say, if you’d like to check out the work of this notorious Scream Queen, you’ll have plenty of opportunities!
