A new gothic style drama, ‘Brides’, based on the three brides of Dracula has struck a pilot commitment with NBC. The pilot, written by Aguirre-Sacasa, has been described as a “sexy” re-imagining of the classic Dracula story, toned down and rewritten as a family drama. The show will focus on three strong female leads and the things they do to ensure their wealth, prestige, and their family.
The cast of ‘Brides’ has not been announced at this time. Warner Bros. Television will produce along with Aquirre-Sacasa, Berlanti and Berlanti Productions.
