In an unexpected move Universal has moved it’s upcoming King Kong Skull Island film to Warner Bros. The reason for the change, to make it possible for a future King Kong Vs. Godzilla film, Warner Bros. owns the rights to the Godzilla franchise. The latest Godzilla and Kong features are currently in the works and will be followed up with an epic sequel that will pit giant beast against giant beast.

The two beasts have  gone head to head before in the 1962’s King Kong Vs. Godzilla. There is no word yet if the new film will be a remake or a completely new story.
