It’s been three years since Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones put on those black suits and fought aliens. Producers Walker Parkes and Laurie MacDonald confirmed to THR that a new film is in the works, but that neither Will Smith or Tommy Lee Jones will be involved in the sequel. Seriously? Jones and Smith are what made those movies great.

I should mention that there won’t be just one new ‘Men in Black’ film, there will be three. Right now the film is in early preproduction. ‘Men in Black 4″ is being penned by ’22 Jumps Street’ writer Oren Uziel  and Lowell Cunningham, who wrote the three original ‘Men in Black’ movies. Cunningham’s involvement in the part 4 makes me have a little more hopeful. The big question is, can the movies make it without Smith and Jones ?
