Black Fawn Films and Breakthrough Entertainment have a good run this year, with films like ‘Bite’, ‘Antisocial’ and ‘The Drowsman’. Now they are preparing for ‘The Sublet’ to make its European debut at the Razor Reel Film Festival on November 7th, followed by the North American premiere at the Whistler Film Festival this December.
‘The Sublet’ is psychological-thriller that follows Joanna, a new mom, who is struggling with postpartum depression, while she and her baby spend their time alone in a odd sublet apartment. Joanna’s husband neglects her and their child preferring to spend long hours at work. Joanna soon discovers that their apartment has a dark violent past. She clings to her sanity as the apartment’s blood soaked past leaks into the present.
‘The Sublet’ was written and directed by John Ainslie (Jack Brooks: Monster Slayer) and stars Tianna Nori, Mark Matechuk, Krista Madison and Rachel Sellan. Chad Archibald (Bite, The Drownman) will be serving as producer for the film.
