Sunshine Boy Productions, along with Rubric Pictures, have just announced their short film ‘Play Violet For Me’. The film stars Najarra Townsend, John Paul Romeo and  Matt Mercer for the 2013 indie film ‘Contracted’. ‘Play Violet For Me’, a recent recipient of NYLA International Film Festival’s Best Shorts Competition and audience award winner, follows the classic film noir style of David Lynch.

The film follows Foley Merrick (Mercer) and his obsession with Violet DuPree (Townsend). When his obsession takes a dark and strange turn when he finds Violet’s dead body on the kitchen floor.

‘Play Violet For Me’ was written by Kevin Sluder, who also serves as executive producer. The film is currently making its rounds at film festivals and will be released online some time in 2016.
