James Wan, who is directing The Conjuring 2, has released a series of photos from the set of the film, which is currently shooting in London.
Wan penned the script for the film, along with Carey and Chad Hayes, who also wrote the script for first film. New Line Cinema has set the release date as June 10, 2016.
The film, a sequel to the 2013 The Conjuring, is based on Ed and Loraine Warren’s investigation that took place in the 1970’s, in England, when a single mother and her children were plagued by intense paranormal activity. The incident is referred to as “The Enfield Haunting’ or “The Enfield Poltergeist”.
Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga will be reprising their roles as the famous paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren, who carried out many real paranormal and supernatural investigations. The film’s cast also includes Lauren Esposito, Frances O’Connor, Simon McBurney, Franka Potente, Maria Doyle Kennedy, Simon Delaney, Patrick McAuley, Benjamin Haigh and Madison Wolfe.
