Back in November of 2015 we reported that Ridley Scott had confirmed that Noomi Repace would be returning for a minor role in Scott’s upcoming film Alien: Covenant.  Sometimes, things change when a film begins production, Noomi Repace will not be returning after all.  The reason for the change has not been revealed. Repace’s character “Dr. Elizabeth Shaw” was the only human survivor of the previous 2012 film.

Alien: Covenant will be the first of a trilogy that will link back to the original 1979 film,Alien . In the film a ship, bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, the crew of the colony ship Covenant discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world – whose sole inhabitant is the “synthetic” David (Michael Fassbender), survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition. In the film we will witness all forms of the Xenomorphs for the first time in the series, from facehuggers to warriors.  Alien: Covenant is set to land in theaters on October 6th, 2017.
