At 7:28 p.m. this past Sunday, the Great Falls Police Department received a panicked phone call from a Great Falls neighborhood reporting that a couple had heard screams followed by gun shots. The police department swiftly responded to the scene where another neighbor led them to the house where it was believed the screaming and gun shots originated from. The officers surrounded the house and saw a family, including several children, happily watching “a show about firearms”.
Sgt. Brian McGraw later made a statement about the event and clarified that he had learned that the noises heard by neighbors actually coming from two open widows near the family’s TV, which happen to be playing the mid-season premiere of The Walking Dead.
Luckily, the Great Falls Police Department approached the situation calmly, other wise things could have ended very badly for the family.
