Yet another horror film is getting a television reboot. The series will be a reboot of the 1988 film Heathers. Heathers starred Winona Ryder and Christian Slater. It followed a clique of four high school mean-girls. Three of the girls were named Heather, the other named Veronica (Ryder). Veronica has grown tired of her friends bad attitudes and cruel actions. After she meets J.D. they decide to end her clique’s reign of terror by killing off the Heathers and staging their suicides.

The Hollywood Reporter says that TV Land plans to put a new updated spin on the reboot. This time it’s the outcasts that have become high school royalty. The clique will not include a lesbian, a boy named Heath and a sexy Heather. The series will be written by Jason Micallef and the style is rumored to be similar to Fargo.
