Back in 2008, Steve Miner remade George A. Romero’s zombie classic Day of the Dead. Now, the film is getting yet another remake, this time with Hector Hernandez in the director’s chair. And production will begin soon, according to Screen Daily.

The new version follows a former medical student who is tormented by a dark figure from her past, who happens to be a half-human and half-zombie hellbent on destroying her.

To us it sounds more like a reboot than a remake, but we’ll just have to wait and see. I think we can agree that we’ve seen enough remakes and reboots lately. But who knows, maybe this version will be okay.
