This past weekend at Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) BH Tilt and Orion snagged ‘The Belko Experiment’ , directed by James Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy, Slither) and written by Greg McLean (Wolf Creek, The Darkness).
On what appears to be a normal day at Belco Industries, Belko employees are horrified when they find out that they are locked in and they’ve become guinea pigs in a company-wide experiment which will lead them to either kill each other or be murdered themselves. The experiment is masterminded by a mysterious voice which is controlling the intercom and instructing employees to kill each other by any means necessary.
‘The Belko Experiment’ has an incredible cast. Josh Brener (Max Steel), Tony Goldwyn (Scandal), John Gallagher Jr. (10 Cloverfield Lane), Sean Gunn (Super), John C. McGinley (Scrubs, Stan Against Evil), Adria Arjona (True Detective), Brent Sexton (Justified) , Melonie Diaz (Ghost Team), Abraham Benrubi (Outcast), David Dastmalchain (Antman), Owain Yeoman (The Mentalist), Rusty Schwimmer (The Perfect Storm) and The Walking Dead’s’ Michael Rooker co-star.
James Gunn will not only be directing, but also will serve as producer alongside Peter Safran, Jimmy Holcomb and Dan Clifton. ‘The Belko Experiment’ premiered at TIFF and will open in theaters on March 17, 2017. Hopefully, the trailer will be released soon.
