We reported back in July that the eighth film of Lionsgate’s ‘Saw’ franchise had found its directors, Michael and Peter Sperig, and was planning to begin production this Fall. Now, we can report that ‘Saw: Legacy’ has officially begun filming.
‘Piranha 3D’ writers Josh Stolberg and Peter Goldfinger penned the script for ‘Saw: Legacy’. The synopsis has yet to be released. Oren Kroules and Mark Burg are producing. Dan Heffner and Peter Block are serving as executive producers.
At this point it is not clear if Tobin Bell will reprise his role as Jigsaw. His character did die in the last film, but a picture has surfaced of Jigsaw’s grave disturbed. The photos, tagged to Bloody Disgusting, are said to be from the set of ‘Saw: Legacy’, but Lionsgate has not confirmed that. No cast members have been announced at this time.  We will update you when we know more.
