The Film Label’s Tom Paton’s new upcoming horror film ‘Redwood’ is set to arrive next year, but the first trailer has just arrived. The film follows a young couple who ignore a Park Ranger’s advice and enter Nation Park, only to discover that forest hides a dark secret, vampires.

Nicholas Brendon, who played Xander in Buffy The Vampire Slayer series, stars alongside Mike Beckingham (Simon Pegg’s younger brother) and Tatjan Nordone (Stalking Eva), Muzz Khan (Me Before You), and Jessica-Jane Stafford (Gangsters Gamblers and Gezzers).

Redwood is writer/director Tom Paton’s second feature film, signed to his innovative film company The Film Label.

Redwood is a horror movie about a young couple who get more than they bargained for when they ignore the Rangers advice and venture off the beaten path in a National Park, a park with a dark secret. 

Tom has cast the legendary Nicholas Brendon (Xander  of iconic Buffy the Vampire Slayer TV Show fame). Redwood also sees Mike Beckingham (younger brother of Simon Pegg) star in his first feature role, alongside Ta t j a n a Nardone  (Stalking Eva), Muzz  Khan (Me Before You, Galavant), and Jessica- Jane Stafford (Gangsters Gamblers Geezers)

After some bad news back at home, musician Josh and his girlfriend Beth head out to a secluded national park in search of some clarity on the situation they’ll face when they return. But the couple get more than they bargained for when they ignore the advice of Park Rangers and venture off the trail, coming face to face with The Redwood’s legendary wildlife. REDWOOD brings a fresh spin to a well worn mythology to create an edge of your seat horror movie that will shred your nerves and have you thinking twice about going camping again. 

 

The film is due for release in 2017. In the meantime, check out the first trailer.
