Be honest, you have all wondered if your house, or the building down the street, is haunted. There’s now an app for that. Asif Ghafoor, the founder and CEO of Spacious, an online real estate company in Hong Kong, was inspired by Pokemon Go and augmented reality to create the app that reveals potentially haunted places and tells you how people at the location died. It focuses mainly on real estate where people were murdered or committed suicide.

Augmented reality is something we’d been thinking about for a while. After Pokemon Go came out at the end of July, the success of that made us realize the potential for our app. We think it’s a technology first. We don’t think anyone else has done this before. Ghafoor stated.”

The app is easy to use. After you have downloaded the app, simply point your phone down the street on real estate that is up for sale or rent.  Then point the phone towards the listing and if a ghost icon pops up, it’s haunted. The app when then tell you why a ghost might be haunting the place, like if a woman was slit her wrist or if a man hung himself. Unfortunately, at the moment it is only available in Hong Kong.

If you are looking to purchase, this app might actually help you get a better deal, many real estate firms will drop their prices if a suicide or murder happened on the property, but in most places they don’t have to tell you the history of real estate, even if there was a horrible event or death.
