Two New Cast Members Will Hunt ‘The Predator’

Shane Black’s ‘The Predator’ will begin filming this winter. With an already impressive cast, the announcement has come that two new names have been added to have been added to the roster for the long-awaited sequel.

‘Westworld’ actor Trevante Rhodes officially joined the cast a few days ago and will co-star as an ex-Marine on a mission to kill the Predator(s).

News has arrived that funny man Keegan-Michael Key has signed on to play the role of a man who helps Rhodes and Boyd Holbrook’s characters fight the Predators (Yes, Predators, as in more than one). Key is most well known for co-creating Comedy Central’s ‘Key and Peele’ co-starring Jordan Peele, who recently made his directorial debut with ‘Get Out‘.

Hollywood A-Lister Benicio Del Toro is currently in talks to play a role in ‘The Predator’, which one is still unknown. Del Toro has long history of great roles and a lot of talent. He has starred in many films including ‘Sicario’, ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’, ‘The Wolfman’, ‘Sin City’, and ‘The Usual Suspects’.

It has not been confirmed, but it has been said that Arnold Schwarzenegger may return to reprise his role as Dutch from the original 1987 film in which Shane Black co-starred.

‘Rhodes, Key, and Holbrook star alongside Olivia Munn, and rapper-turned-actor 50 Cent in ‘The Predator’, set to open in theaters on February 9, 2018 from 20th Century Fox.

Another interesting piece of information has surfaced that ‘The Predator’ will have a suburban setting meaning their is a possibility of the film having a high body count. Black will be directing from the script that he co-wrote with Fred Dekker (Night of the Creeps, The Monster Squad).
