From February 13 to March 17, filmmakers must upload an original movie pitch (under 3 minutes) to projectgreenlight.com. Ten semi-finalists will be chosen then the filmmakers will be voted on by both a panel and the public. One contestant, chosen by the public, will advance alongside four chosen by the judges. The five semi-finalist will receive funding to film a short scene from their movie to show off their concept and their talent.
In June, the five semi-finalists will be invited to the second annual Shudder Labs where they will receive guidance on their scene. One winner will be selected to develop their project with Clive Barker serving as executive producer and will receive $300,000 in funding.
