CASTLE ROCK - Teaser (screen grab) CR: BAD ROBOT PRODUCTIONS
Hey there my Little Monsters, last week we learned that Stephen King and J.J. Abrams are again collaborating on a new series, Castle Rock, that will be shown exclusively oh Hulu. This announcement surely had many of King’s fans shivering with more antici. . .pation than Brad and Janet at Dr. Frank N. Fureter’s little soirée.
Today Hulu continues to keep the interests of eager fans piqued by releasing the synopsis of the series which will consist of 10 episodes in all, with production rumored to be starting later this year. And now…the aforementioned synopsis.
Castle Rock is being described as, “A psychological-horror series set in the Stephen King multiverse, Castle Rock combines the mythological scale and intimate character storytelling of King’s best-loved works, weaving an epic saga of darkness and light, played out on a few square miles of Maine woodland. The fictional Maine town of Castle Rock has figured prominently in King’s literary career: Cujo, The Dark Half, IT and Needful Things, as well as novella The Body and numerous short stories such as Rita Hayworth and The Shawshank Redemption are either set there or contain references to Castle Rock. Castle Rock is an original suspense/thriller — a first-of-its-kind reimagining that explores the themes and worlds uniting the entire King canon, while brushing up against some of his most iconic and beloved stories.”

As more news becomes available about the series, I recommend you all keep your eyes peeled…eeewwww. OK maybe not peeled, because that just sounds gross and painful. Keep your eyes OPEN…yeah that sounds better. Keep your eyes open, my Little Monsters, as we bring you more news on this upcoming series as it becomes available.
