Thomas Lennon’s Puppet Master: The Littlest Reich is set to begin principle photography next week in Dallas, Texas with a great cast that includes Udo Kier (Blade), Jenny Pellicer (State of Affairs), Nelson Franklin (Jobs), Charlyne Yi (Cloverfield), Barbara Crampton (Re-Animator, You’re Next), Tina Parker (Breaking Bad, Final Destination), Skeeta Jenkins (12 Masks) and Michael Paré who starred in Eddie and the Cruisers II (a personal favorite) and more recently, The Shelter and Abattoir.
Sonny Laguna and Tommy Wiklund, the team behind Wither, will be directing from the script penned by S. Craig Zahler (Bone Tomahawk).
The Littlest Reich will expand on Toulon’s (Kier) backstory. It centers on a young man who discovers a mint condition Blade doll while cleaning out his deceased brother’s closet. The man has plans to sell the doll at a toy convention on the 30th anniversary of the Toulon murders. All hell breaks loose at the lodge during an auction when a mysterious force brings to life all of the dolls and they set out on a killing spree.
