Universal’s reboot of The Mummy is coming to Digital this August, followed by its Blu-ray and DVD release this September.
In the film, Tom Cruise (Mission Impossible) goes head to head with the legendary Universal Monster, The Mummy. Unlike in most revamped tales of the mummy, this time Cruise’s character faces off with the mummy of Princess Ahmanet, played by Sofia Boutella.
Thought safely entombed in a crypt deep beneath the unforgiving desert an ancient princess, whose destiny was unjustly taken from her, is awakened in our current day, bringing with her malevolence grown over millennia and terrors that defy human comprehension.

From the sweeping sands of the Middle East through hidden labyrinths under modern-day London, The Mummy brings a surprising intensity and balance of wonder and thrills in an imaginative new take that ushers in a new world of gods and monsters.
In the film we will also see Dr. Jekyll, played by Russell Crowe, teach Cruise’s character Nick about the real monsters that go bump in the night.

Jake Johnson (Jurassic World), Courtney B. Vance (American Crime Story), and Annabelle Wallis (Annabelle), Courtney B. Vance (Terminator Genisys) co-star in the film directed by Alex Kurtzman and written by Jon Spaihts and Christopher McQuarrie.
