Tomorrow is Friday the 13th, my Little Monsters. We often associate this day with a movie series that began with a murderously vengeful mother and evolved to feature a death dealing juggernaut…his name was Jason. However, Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross will be releasing a music track on Friday October 13th, that is associated with another beloved day we will all be observing at the end of the month – Halloween.
Reznor and Ross are taking a stab (get it…STAB) at covering the iconic theme from John Carpenter’s 1978 horror classic, Halloween. The track is being released by way of Sacred Bones and Reznor’s own record label, The Null Corporation.
A sample track had been available earlier at Amazon (I know this, because I listened to it), but has since disappeared and is now replaced with an error message that is accompanied by a random picture of one of the “dogs of Amazon”. Hopefully, after the build up I’ve seen about it, this music track will not ending up being a Halloween “trick”. What’s more likely, is that the link was made live too early and was maybe supposed to be a surprise release.
Hopefully tomorrow will bring about good luck, and the track will be available at the above link for everyone’s buying and listening pleasure. I was going to say keep your eyes peeled, my Little Monsters, but that sounds atrocious. So keep your eyes OPEN to see if and when the track drops tomorrow.
