Jeffery Dahmer, one of America’s most notorious serial killers, will be the subject of the upcoming film titled My Friend Dahmer, based on the graphic novel of the same name.
Disney star Ross Lynch (Austin and Ally) will play Dahmer in the film in which we will witness Dahmer’s teenage life before the killer went on to murder 17 young men.
Filmed in Dahmer’s hometown of Summit County, Ohio and in his childhood home where he took his first victim’s life in 1978, the film was written and directed by Marc Meyers and co-stars Anne Heche, Vincent Kartheiser, Dallas Roberts, Alex Wolff, Miles RobbinsHarrison Holzer, and Cameron McKendry.
Ahead of My Friend Dahmer’s release in theaters nationwide on November 3, 2017, a new trailer has been unleashed giving a look into the mind of a budding serial killer.
Also known as the “Milwaukee Cannibal”, Dahmer murdered, raped and cannibalized 17 victims (or more) between 1978 and 1991. Even though he was diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder, Schizotypal Personality Disorder, and a psychotic disorder, he found fit for trial and on February 15, 1992, he was convicted of fifteen murders and sentenced to fifteen life terms before being convicted of committing another murder the next year. When police entered Dahmer’s apartment they found grotesque sights such as body parts and heads in the refrigerator, photos of murdered victims in strange poses, and a collection of skulls.
Dahmer did not serve much time for his crimes. On November 28, 1994, he was beaten to death in prison by another inmate, Christopher Scarver.
