The most hated man on the internet who “Dabs on Haters” can’t Dab his way out of this one. Police officials from Yamanashi prefecture want to speak with Logan Paul in relation to his disastrous click-bait video that shows him and his friends in Japan’s “Suicide Forest” where they found the remains of a victim of suicide and joke around while filming it. It’s unclear why the Police wish to speak with Logan since they’re declining to comment, in Japan whenever a suicide is involved. Though there have been many documentaries made in Japan’s Suicide Forest, Logan Paul’s is a first of its kind where the ones filming, visibly show disrespect and exploit the situation.
A side note, contrary to popular belief Japan does not have the highest suicide rates in the world. According to data by the World Health Organization (WHO) that was updated in April 2017, based on suicides per 100,000 people a year, Japan is 26 on the list. Sri Lanka is number 1 while the United States is tied at 48 with Botswana, Uganda, and Rwanda.
The Japanese are depicted often in the media as quick to kill themselves over anything while factually the reason for many suicides in Japan is the same anywhere else, it depends on the economy. Most suicides in Japan over the year usually involve people who have lost a job, forced to retire or can’t find work. Other reasons range from mental illness to bullying in school.
