Fans of What We Do in the Shadows have eagerly been waiting for the spin-off series. Today, we have an update. There will be not one, but two series and a film. Awesome, right?
One of the series has found a home at FX, according to Variety, and we couldn’t be more excited. Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi, who wrote, starred, and directed the 2014 hit film, will executive produce the series. Clement will write the series with Waititi serving as director. Paul Simms, Scott Rudin, Garrett Basch, and Eli Basch will also executive produce. FX Productions will be producing.
Kayvan Novak, Matt Berry, Natasia Demetriou, and Harvey Guillen will star in the series that will be set in the U.S. instead of New Zealand like the film. There is no word yet when the show will premiere.
As for the second spin-off, ‘Wellington Paranormal’, it will air on New Zealand’s channel TVNZ in 2018. It centers on the police from the original film. Read the full article on ‘Wellington Paranormal’ here.

When it comes to the long-rumored What We Do in the Shadows spin-off feature film, it is happening and has the working title of ‘We’re Wolves’. The film will is based on the pack of werewolves from the original film.
