It’s official, the ‘Charmed’ series reboot is moving forward at The CW. The series will center on three sisters living in a college town who discover they are witches, according to Variety.
The show is based on a story by Jennie Urman, creator of ‘Jane the Virgin’, who will executive produce along with ‘Jane the Virgin’ writers Jessica O’Toole and Amy Rardin, along with Ben Silverman and Brad Silberling (Jane the Virgin, Reign) who will be directing. CBS Television Studios will produce.
There is no word yet who will star in the series, but we do know that ‘Charmed’ will premiere during the 2018-2019 season.
The original ‘Charmed’ series ran from 1998 to 2006 and has a huge following. The show starred Alyssa Milano, Holly Marie Combs, Shannen Doherty, and Brian Krause. It followed three sisters who use their witchy powers to fight evil while coping with loss, a new sister, and love.
