Netflix has snagged the adaptation of Stephen King and Joe Hill‘s (King’s son) In the Tall Grass. With the continuing interest in King’s work and the multitude of adaptations of his writings headed our way, it’s no surprise that Netflix is on the bandwagon. But the giant streaming service is not new to King’s tales, they released the adaptation Gerald’s Game last year along with 1922.
“Westworld” actor James Marsden is currently in negotiations to star in the film directed by Vincenzo Natali (Cube, Splice), Variety reports.
In the film, “after hearing a young boy’s cry for help, a sister and brother venture into a vast field of grass in Kansas but soon discover that there may be no way out. ”
Splice’s Steve Hoban, Jimmy Miller from Mosaic, and M. Riley will produce. Miller and Riley together produced 2015’s The Lazarus Effect.
In the Tall Grass will begin production in Toronto this Summer.
