“Supernatural” fans are some of the most dedicated fans out there, so when the pilot was ordered for the spin-off series “Wayward Sisters” they were overjoyed. Unfortunately, The CW has decided not to move forward with the series, even after the pilot aired back in January and was well received.

The series would have centered on Jody Mills, Claire Novak, and their family of monster ass-kicking women in South Dakota.
Now fans have started a petition to save the show, and it already has more than 71,000 signatures.
Now, CW president Mark Pedowitz offered an explanation.

We are big fans of the characters and the women who played those characters in the series, but we did not feel creatively that the show is where we wanted it to be, and we felt we had a better shot with Legacies.”

“Legacies” is a spin-off of the hit series “The Originals”. “Legacies” will air on Thursdays following “Supernatural”.
