‘The Amityville Murders’ Makes Its World Premiere At Screamfest Ahead Of November Release

We’ve all heard the tales of how those who have lived in the Amityville house have experienced terrifying hauntings, but the true story of the family that died in the house is much more terrifying than anything Hollywood could conjure. The Amityville Murders sets out to take viewers on a journey through the night the DeFeo’s lost their lives at the hands of their own.
On the night of November 13, 1974, Ronald DeFeo Jr. took a rifle and murdered each family member as they slept in their beds. During his trial, he claimed voices drove him to do it. This is their story.
 

 
John Robinson, Chelsea Ricketts, and Amityville II: The Possession actors Diane Franklin and Burt Young star in this tragic real-life inspired tale written and directed by Daniel Farrands.
Produced by Daniel Farrands who also produced The Haunting in Connecticut and penned Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers, the film was also produced by Lucas Jarach, Eric Brenner, and Jim Jacobsen, The Amityville Murders will reveal one of the most infamous murders the country has ever witnessed will make its world premiere at Screamfest on October 9, 2018, followed by a Q&A. The Blu-ray and DVD release will follow this November on the 5th.
