One of the best serial killer films to come out of the late 90’s was Philip Noyce’s thriller The Bone Collector, starring Denzel Washington and Angelina Jolie, based on the novel by Jeffrey Deaver. After nearly two decades, the film is getting a series adaptation from NBC, according to The Wrap.

The film follows retired forensic criminologist genius Lincoln Rhyme who was left paralyzed after an on the job accident. When a case brings him back into the fold, Rhyme partners with Amelia Sachs, an ambitious young cop, in order to take down a serial killer.
Universal Television and Sony Pictures have teamed up with Keshet Studios for the series.
Below you will find the trailer for the 1999 original film which is now streaming on Hulu. If you haven’t seen The Bone Collector, I recommend that you do so immediately.
