Netflix has a slew of new series coming in 2019, including the sci-fi horror series “Daybreak” set in post-apocalyptic California.
A mix of drama and horror, with a hint of Mad Max, the 10 episode first season follows a teenage boy, played by Colin Ford (Supernatural, Teen Wolf, Under the Dome), as he roams with a group of misfits.
The series also stars Matthew Broderick, Austin Crute, Jeanté Godluck, Gregory Kasyan, Cody Kearsley, Alyvia Alyn Lind, Krysta Rodriguez, Sophie Simnett, and Rob Roy.
in the series, high school outcast Josh (Ford) is searching for his missing girlfriend in post-apocalyptic Glendale. He’s joined by a group of misfits. During their mission, the group encounters strange and frightening events.
Brad Peyton, who was behind Rampage, San Andreas, and Netflix’s “Frontier”, is directing the series created and written by Aron Eli Coleite and co-written by Ira Madison III.
“Daybreak” will arrive on Netflix sometime next year.
