Earlier this year, Apple gave the straight to series order for the M. Night Shyamalan executive produced still untitled psychological thriller from “Outcast” writer Tony Basgallop.
Deadline is reporting that Harry Potter actor Rupert Grint has joined the series and will star alongside “Six Feet Under” actress Lauren Ambrose, and Nell Tiger Free of “Game of Thrones”. Ambrose plays mother Dorthy with Free playing the nanny, and Grint starring as Julian Pearce, Dorthy’s brother.
The site also reports that “While the plot of the series has not been revealed, I hear it follows parents Dorothy and Sean Turner, who have hired young nanny Leanne to help care for their newborn child. Not to spoil the big twist, let’s just say things are not quite as they seem.”
10-episode half-hour series will be produced by Shyamalan’s Blinding Edge Pictures. Ashwin Rajan is serving as executive producer along with Jason Blumenthal, Todd Black, and Steve Tisch of Escape Artists. Taylor Latham is co-executive producing.
