Blumhouse Teaming Up With Sony For Horror Film Adaptation Of ‘Fantasy Island’

Blumhouse and Sony Pictures are teaming up for a film adaptation of ABC’s long-running series Fantasy Island. According to Deadline this the film will be a bit different from the 80s series, it will be horror themed with a killer stalking the guests of the island.
Truth or Dare’Jeff Wadlow will be directing from the script that he co-wrote with Truth or Dare co-scribes Chris Roach and Jillian Jacobs.
Lucy Hale (Truth or Dare) stars alongside Michael Pena (End of Watch), and Crazy Rich Asians’ Jimmy O. Yang.
Fantasy Island is set to open in theaters on February 28, 2020.
