The film which we called a “stunning, pulse-pounding, action-thriller” in our review, was directed by Fede Álvarez (Evil DeadDon’t Breathe) who brings an incredible amount of suspense and tension to the film adaptation of the fourth book of the acclaimed Millennium series to create a thrilling cinematic experience.

The Girl in the Spider’s Web also stars Sverrir Gudnason (Borg vs. McEnroe), Lakeith Stanfield (Get OutSorry to Bother You, TV’s “Atlanta”), Sylvia Hoeks (Blade Runner 2049) and Stephen Merchant (Logan; Hot Fuzz).

In the film, Lisbeth Salander (Foy) and “journalist Mikael Blomkvist find themselves caught in a web of spies, cybercriminals and corrupt government officials, as they race to rescue a dangerous program capable of global destruction held by shadowy figures linked to Lisbeth’s past.”

Directed by Fede Álvarez from the screenplay he co-wrote with Jay Basu and Steven Knight, The Girl in the Spider’s Web is based on the novel written by David Lagercrantz. The film was produced by Scott Rudin, Eli Bush, Ole Søndberg, Soren Stærmose, Berna Levin, Amy Pascal, and Elizabeth Cantillon; with Arnon Milchan, Robert J. Dohrmann, David Fincher, Line Winther, Skyum Funch, Johannes Jensen and Anni Faurbye Fernandez as executive producers. The film is a Columbia Pictures and Metro Goldwyn Mayer Pictures presentation.
