Last year we talked with Bruce Campbell (interview) about life after retiring his character Ash Williams from the Evil Dead franchise. Recently, that seems to have changed. Campbell was recently out promoting his upcoming hosting duties for “Ripley’s Believe It Or Not” and teased that the Evil Dead universe is far from over.

They’re going to see different versions, they’re going to be seeing more ‘Evil Dead,’ too. We’re not done with the ‘Evil Dead’ saga, more stories to tell.”

The question is, what does he mean? Will we see Pablo and Kelly from “Ash vs Evil Dead” in a spin-off? Will we get another installment from the Jane Levy remake? This isn’t the first time a sequel to the 2013 remake has mentioned. I’ll be honest, I’d love to see either. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

In the 2013 remake was written and directed by Fede Alvarez. Sam Raimi, who directed the original, produced the remake along with Campbell and Robert Tapert. Jane Levy starred as a drug addict whose friends and brother took her to a remote cabin for an intervention, but things go very wrong after the Necronomicon is read.
