It is with a heavy heart we inform you that genre icon Sid Haig has passed away at the age of 80. The news came via a heartbreaking Instagram post from his wife, Suzie.

On Saturday, September 21, 2019, my light, my heart, my true love, my King, the other half of my soul, Sidney, passed from this realm on to the next. He has returned to the Universe, a shining star in her heavens. He was my angel, my husband, my best friend and always will be. He adored his family, his friends and his fans. This came as a shock to all of us. We, as a family, are asking that our privacy and time to mourn be respected. Sidney Eddie Mosesian 7/14/39 – 9/21/19 Husband, Father, Grandfather, Friend. Goodnight, my love. We will find each other again, next time. I love you.
Earlier this month Haig was checked into the ICU following a bad fall. His wife Suzie gave an update last week that his recovery was improving, but he apparently he took a turn for the worst.
Haig, while having many roles of the years is best recognized as Captain Spaulding from House of a 1,000 Corpses, Devil Rejects, and the most recent film from Rob Zombie’s trilogy 3 From Hell, being released this October.
Haig will be deeply missed. Our thoughts go out to his family, friends, and fans in this time of sorrow. He was a good man and a great actor.
