News has come out of EFM that Zach Braff (Golden State, “Scrubs”) is set to face off against sharks in survival thriller Tiburon.

Directed by Alistair Legrand (The Diabolical) and written by Jonathan WC Mills (Nothing Left to Fear), Tiburon follows a young family trapped in a camper van, stranded on a flooded tidal basin near the beach. As the water rises, the family must make a choice, flee through the shark-infested water or face a sadistic fugitive.

Paula Patton (Traffik) and Rupert Friend (“Homeland”) also star, ScreenDaily reports. Culmination co-founders Tom Butterfield and Harry White are producing alongside Mills.

By the way, Tiburon means “shark” in Spanish.

Production is set to begin this spring in South Africa.
