We’ve long thought that the next film of the Jurassic Park franchise, Jurassic World: Dominion, will be the last. But that might not be true after all.

Producer Frank Marshall has now teased that Dominion is just the beginning. Marshall told  Collider that Dominion will start “a new era” for the franchise.

It’s the start of a new era,” Marshall told the site this week. “The dinosaurs are now on the mainland amongst us, and they will be for quite some time, I hope.”

The last installment, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom ended with a cliffhanger and dinosaurs running into our world for the first time.

Jurassic World: Dominion, directed by Colin Trevorrow (Jurassic World) will pick up with dinosaurs living among us.

Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard are returning. Sam Neill, Jeff Goldblum, and Laura Dern will be reprising their roles from the 1993 classic Jurassic Park.

Jurassic World: Dominion is set to be released on June 11, 2021.
