Director Jim Cummings‘ werewolf film The Wolf of Snow Hollow has just been picked up by Orion Classics who has set an October release date, Deadline reports.
Not only did Cummings direct, but he also stars in the film along with the late Robert Forster ((pictured), Jackie Brown, “Last Man Standing”) in his final film role, Riki Lindhome (The Last House on the Left), Jimmy Tatro (King of Staten Island), and Chloe East (“Ice”).
The film centers on “a small-town sheriff (Cummings), who is struggling with a failed marriage, a rebellious daughter, and a lackluster department, who is tasked with solving a series of brutal murders that are occurring on the full moon. As he’s consumed by the hunt for the killer, he struggles to remind himself that there’s no such thing as werewolves.”
It is an honor and a long-time dream to work with Orion Classics and MGM. I wanted to explore elements of horror and comedy through the idea of a monster infiltrating everyday life and how that teaches us who we are and how to not become one ourselves,” Cummings stated.
The Wolf of Snow Hollow will open in theaters and arrive On-Demand on October 9, 2020.
