Back in 2019, it was announced at San Diego Comic-Con that Marvel planned to sink its fangs into a new Blade movie as part of MCU with Oscar-winning actor Mahershala Ali (pictured) as the title character, taking the role over for franchise star Wesley Snipes.

The last we heard anything was back in October when it was revealed that the hunt was on for a writer for the project. But it’s been radio silence since, until now.

At Disney’s recent Investor Day, Marvel’s Kevin Feige teased that we should be getting an announcement “very soon,” and that the project is finally coming together.

.

As we announced at Comic-Con last year, we’re moving ahead with Blade, starring Academy Award winner Mahershala Ali,” Feige said during the presentation. He continued, “The development and storylines are coming together, and we’ll have announcements very, very soon.”

We’ll update you as soon as the aforementioned announcement is made.
