HBO’s adaptation of the hit game The Last of Us is set to begin filming on July 5, 2021, in Alberta, Canada, giving it a 2022 premiere date. The series is going to be huge with it being described as having “the largest production in Canada’s history,” outdoing 2010’s Resident Evil: Afterlife!

What starts as a small job soon becomes a brutal, heartbreaking journey, as they both must traverse across the U.S. and depend on each other for survival.”

The Last of Us” will reunite “Game of Thrones” actors Bella Ramsey and Pedro Pascal who will star as Ellie and Joel.  Created and written by Neil Druckmann, the series’ pilot will be directed by Kantemir Balagov

Since its 2013 release by Naughty Dog, the game had sold over 20 million units.
