The horror anthology ‘Patient Seven’, with a wrap-around from director  Danny Draven, is now out on DVD and Digital HD. The film has also just arrived on Redbox, from Terror Films, with a new exclusive poster.

The anthology was penned by Barry Jay Stitch. ‘Patient Seven’ consists of seven award winning short films from directors all around the world. Nicholas Peterson, Paul Davis, Ómar Örn Hauksson, Dean Hewison, Erlingur Ottar Thoroddsen, Joel Morgan, Johannes Persson and Rasmus Wassberg directed the segments featured in the anthology.

The cast for the film includes Doug Jones who appeared in many films including ‘Hellboy’, ‘Crimson Peak’ and ‘Pan’s Labyrinth’. Jones will star alongside Amy Smart (The Single Mom’s Club) and Alfie Allen of ‘Game of Thrones’ and ‘John Whick’, as well as horror veteran Michael Ironside (Scanners), Jack Plotnick (Reno 911!: Miami), Grace Van Dien (San Andres Quake), William Mark McCullough (Free Sate of Jones), Daniel Lench (Circle), Amanda Graeff (Street Shadows) and Anna Rose Morre (Messenger), among others.

 

 

In the film Dr. Marcus (Ironside), a renowned psychiatrist, has selected 6 severely mentally ill and dangerous patients to interview as research for his book. One by one they recount the horrors they have committed. The doctor discovers that there is one patient the hospital’s administrator, Dr. Vincent (Plotnick) has kept from him and he is determined to find out why.

Since its digital release on October 11th, the horror anthology Patient Seven, from Terror Films, has been met with rave reviews! It continues to climb the charts on various platforms. Also, It has remained in the best-seller section on iTunes since it debuted. Now, Patient Seven is available on DVD, at Redbox.

 

Starting on Tuesday, November 8th, Patient Seven will be available in a limited DVD release, from Redbox.  Rent the film from a Redbox location near you and see what the critics have been raving about! The film continues to be available on many platforms.  YouTube, Vimeo On Demand, Amazon Instant, Google Play, Xbox, VUDU, PlayStation and iTunes are each hosting the film. As well, Patient Seven will also be released on Amazon Prime, the 24-Hour Movie Channel on Roku and cable VOD, in 2017.

 

The film features a wrap-around story. Written by Barry Jay Stitch (The Chosen) and directed by genre veteran Danny Draven (Ghost Month, Reel Evil), the wraparound intertwines 7 award winning short films. The short films were developed by the following filmmakers, from around the world: Nicholas Peterson, Paul Davis, Ómar Örn Hauksson, Dean Hewison, Erlingur Thoroddsen, Joel Morgan, Johannes Persson and Rasmus Wassberg. The shorts have casts that include Amy Smart (The Butterfly Effect, Crank), Alfie Allen (“Game of Thrones,” John Wick), and Doug Jones (Pan’s Labyrinth, The Bye Bye Man) among others.

 

In the wraparound, Michael Ironside (Scanners, Total Recall) stars as renowned psychiatrist Dr. Marcus. He has selected six severely mentally ill and dangerous patients from the Spring Valley Mental Hospital, to interview as part of research for his new book. While Dr. Marcus interviews each patient, one by one the horrors they have committed begin to unfold. However, Dr. Marcus soon learns that there is one patient that has been kept from him, by the hospital’s administrator, Dr. Vincent, played by Jack Plotnick (Suburban Gothic, Reno 911!: Miami).
