Francesca Eastwood (The Vault) leads the cast of the revenge thriller M.F.A., being called “one of the most important films of the year”. The film, from director Natalia Leite and writer Leah McKendrick, centers on a young woman who confronts her attacker after being sexually assaulted.
M.F.A. takes on the issue of sexual violence that has become a horrible trend with one in the three women being victimized in their lifetime.
Leah McKendrick, Clifton Collins Jr., Michael Welch, and Peter Vack co-star. Rob Angel, Ivar Hagberg, Mariah Owen, and Kelvin Parker serve as executive producers.
In the film, Noelle (Francesca Eastwood), an art student struggling to find her voice, is sexually assaulted by a fellow classmate. Attempting to cope with her trauma, she impulsively confronts her attacker, leading to a violent altercation that culminates in his accidental death. Noelle tries to return to normalcy, but when she discovers she is only one of many silenced sexual assault survivors on campus, she takes justice into her own hands. A vigilante is born – retribution is the inspiration she’s been waiting for.”
M.F.A. will premiere in select theaters on October 13, 2017, from Dark Sky Films. Follow M.F.A. on Facebook for screenings and more.
