Uncork’d Entertainment has picked up the rights to The Shelter. Starring Michael Pare (Abattoir, Village of the Damned, Eddie and the Cruisers I & II), The Shelter follows a homeless man who has chosen the wrong place to rest.
Lauren Alexandra (Looper), Gayle James (Time Eva), Rachel Whittle (Shark Island), Amy Wickenheiser (The Outsider), and Brigette Rose co-star.
Produced by Fallon and Donny Broussard, and executive produced by Bruise Productions and JoBlo Movie Productions, The Shelter features special effects by Thomas Wilson, who also worked on films such as The Conjuring and Insidious.
In the film Tomas Jacobs (Pare), a homeless man and widower, finds a place to rest for the night when he discovers an empty two-story house with an open door. Thinking he’s had a lucky break, he enters the home, but soon realizes that he was very wrong. The house will not let him leave, the doors are locked and the windows can not be opened or broken. Can he survive the ordeal?
The Shelter, directed by John Fallon, will open in theaters and VOD in the US and Canada this Fall.
